Tira Cooks was founded in 2024 by Tira Kelly, who infused the brand with a millennial take on vintage glamour. From the start, Tira Cooks showcased a bold feminine style that stood out against the plain looks of the time, celebrating diversity and boundless creativity. This distinctive approach established a unique identity for the brand, characterized by rich colors, cinched waistlines, and sustainable fabrics, quickly elevating the Philadelphia-based house to a favored status.

We are an American company with Afro Latina outlook. What began in my apartment living room has expanded to a 200 square foot studio in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Tired of seeing blues, blacks, and grays on the clothing rack, Tira began her career after just picking up sewing in August 2024. After persevering through so many non-wearables, eventually Tira Cooks began.

Tira Kelly is the designer, founder and majority shareholder of Tira Cooks, but you can just call her Tira. Some people wear fashion Tira uses fashion as a key principle of her life. It means Tira Cooks designs capture unstoppable creativity, with references to personal struggles, culture roots, music, and art. You will find plenty of nods to Tira’s lifelong love of cooking.

In 2025, Tira Cooks celebrated Bleeding Colors, FW 25/26. With that landmark achieved, focus has switched to making the house of Tira Cooks the leading global fashion brands of the 21st century.
